Privacy
The short version: your video stays on your device, and we do not track you.
What we do not do
- We do not upload your videos. Every tool runs in your browser, on your device.
- We do not ask you to sign in, and there are no accounts.
- We do not set cookies.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or any third-party scripts, fonts or trackers.
- We remove location, device and date tags from the videos we produce.
What happens to your video
When you choose or drop a video, your browser gives this page access to it. It is read, re-encoded and written to a result file in memory on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere. When you close the tab or change the file, the result is released.
What this site stores on your device
To work well, the site keeps a small amount of data in your browser. It never leaves your device, and you can remove what the site controls with the button below.
- localStoragevideotools:theme and other videotools:* keys
- Your theme choice (videotools:theme) and the size preset you picked last (videotools:last-preset), so they are there next time.
- HTTP cachemanaged by your browser
- Your browser may keep the site files in its normal cache, including the slower-mode video encoder if you used it, so it does not have to be downloaded again. Clearing your browser cache removes them.
The network
The site is served by Cloudflare. As with any website, Cloudflare may keep standard request logs (for example IP address, requested page, time and browser type). We do not add anything on top of that. Pages, code and fonts all come from this site's own domain, and your video is never part of a request.
Check it yourself
Open your browser's developer tools and look at the Network tab while you compress a video: there are no uploads.
